Tree & Bench Donation Program

Keep your loved one’s memory alive for years to come
by donating a tree or adopting a park bench in one of our parks!

Memorial Tree Donation

Donating a tree provides a living memorial to your loved ones. Each donation adds to the community, enriching the beauty of the park and the lives of those around it. Please read the following donation information:

  • Trees are sold at cost, depending on the type of species selected and size of tree.
  • Participants will be presented with a list of trees to select for Spring and Fall planting. Participants can choose between tree species and park location, depending on availability. Special requests will not be considered to ensure longevity and sustainability of our park’s trees.
  • Trees will be maintained and watered by the Park District until they are established.
  • Personalized items and landscape enhancements or markers are not allowed. The Park District is not responsible for damage to these items. The Park District is not responsible for damage to plaques, trees, or benches because of these items.

Tree Adoption

Tree Adoption is available for existing trees. Participants will notify our staff of the tree they would like to adopt on their donation form.
