The Vernon Hills Park District announces the resignation of Commissioner Janice Giraldo from the Board of Park Commissioners due to relocation. On behalf of the Park Board and Park District staff, we thank Commissioner Janice Giraldo for her contributions towards the agency’s mission and her dedication to the community. Commissioner Giraldo was elected to the Board of Commissioners in October 2021. Her last day on the Park Board will be April 30, 2025.

The Park Board will begin the search for a new Commissioner who will serve out the remainder of the term until 2027. Interested candidates should contact David Doerhoefer, Board President, at ddoerhoefer@vhparkdistrict.org.
